Adding Value to your guests' holiday let experience

Norfolk is at the heart of Britain’s tourist industry, with holiday makers coming from home and abroad alike to base in the beauty of our coast and countryside.

The past year has left many eager to visit the tranquil woods and stunning beaches we have to offer and it feels so good to be able to able to see the holiday industry feeling positive as it prepares to re-open it's doors to long missed visitors. With this in mind I am so excited to be offering a new package for holiday lets to add to their growing list of COVID safe activities they are already offering their guests, that will not only add more value to their stay but with the added benefit of visual memories too!
As a Norfolk based photographer, I'm offering photo-shoots for guests either at their holiday accommodation, or chosen local location (such as at the seaside or favoured destination). These photo-shoots will last one hour, so won't take up too much of your free time and comes with images being delivered via private online gallery.

I am currently working in conjunction with Mill Farm Eco Barn at Winterton and Waders Lookout, and am always happy to explore new opportunities and to discuss how I might be able to cater for your guests too, so please do get in touch!

The beauty of the photo shoots is that it gives guests a lasting reminder of the great time they had staying in your properties, and it is a talking point with friends and family... and its fantastic marketing tool for property owners too, at not extra cost.

The cost of the Gold Package would be £200 for one household, to include full image rights to print and share. The Silver Package is £100 for one household and includes ten digital images with rights to print and share. Prints, photo books and wall art can also be purchased through Newsight Photography if desired. As an incentive to book, I'm offering a 10% discount on all shoots booked up to 14 days before the guests' holiday dates.

Accommodation owners receive a free piece of wall art for every ten photo-shoot bookings received. I will also provide digital marketing material, which can then be included within all accommodation packs for guests.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Whatever kind of shoot you’re on, photography is about planning, and then waiting for that perfect moment. For this landscape shoot at Caister beach, I knew that the sun would rise above the wind turbines at Scroby Sands, providing me with interest on the horizon plus a sense of scale. I had checked the weather forecast and knew it was going to be cloudy, so I planned to use my LEE polarising filter to bring out the colours of the sky. In order that the waves were not a distraction from the focal point of the image, I was going to use a slow exposure to smooth them out, and hopefully give an ethereal feel to the image. With a F9 setting to ensure enough detail on the horizon, and an 8 second exposure set up and ready to go, it was now a waiting game. I was hoping that the sun would be strong enough to break through the cloud. The picture below was the result of a ten-minute wait, but well worth it. By this time the wind had increased, and the clouds were moving. This was a perfect example of how nature can be a changing beauty, even from the same spot. I knew that if I stayed where I was, I would be able to capture a subtly varied series of images from one vantage point. The second shot shows the emerging colours of dawn, and to give a sense of a gently stirring sea I changed the exposure time to four seconds. With the clouds thickening, the scene was continuing to change. I changed to a ten second exposure, to achieve a milky flattening of the retreating waves over the shingle. This draws the eye to the sun forcing through a crack in the clouds at the top of the image. By now it was time to move, and to contrast with the earlier images I changed to an F6.3 with an exposure of 1/500. This gave me detail and texture in the waves and a pleasing vibrancy that made the early start, well rewarded.

After deciding that my do it yourself website was no longer portraying the image I wanted for my growing business, I asked Jon at We Are Doodlebug to help design a new one. I was really happy with the results!

When buying wall art, it’s always important to visualize how your piece will look in your space. To help you do that I’ve put together a selection of my available works, in different rooms and with different framing options. I’ve chosen a classic black for the framed options, but then have also shown the more minimalist frameless options which is what you get with either dibond or canvas images. If you’d like to chat about wall art buying options, do give me a call on 07519939580 or email on newsightphotography@gmail.com
